Projects for the week..!

So..I have quite a few to share today....

Sketch #19 at SKETCH N SCRAP

A card that I made for a tutorial at FROSTED DESIGNS (DT)

Also for FROSTED DESIGNS our challenge this week is paint/mist/ink...
I catch mist overspray on papertowels...I punched one (red) and used it for this layout.

And a few I did for My Scraps and More challenges

Use word "pumpkin" and pic must have pumpkins

Use 'bad' pic....
I printed this pic (which I acutally like) on cardstock on my home printer...
I covered it with clear gesso so the ink would stick and when I did that, it smeared the pic.
So it just sat on my desk....  until a challenge came along that made me go ahead and give it a shot...

Do a 2 pager...

a card using tapes..(I used Heidi Swapp paper tape...old stuff!!)

Adventure, Swingin, & some cute older pics of Joseph

Here are this weeks' projects (sometimes done a long time ago, but it's their week to post...)

Over at ARTFUL DELIGHT I have played along with their layout and card sketch using this month's kit....

And for SKETCH N SCRAP I played along with their first sketch for October

And now for some of my DT projects:
At THINKING THROUGH DESIGN our thought this week is burlap

My layout and thought:
I love burlap’s natural neutral color and the awesome texture it can add to a page and it was perfect to maintain the “rustic nature” feel for this older photo of my son in a tree.   I also love that it can help “hide” a busier background paper.  So that is how I’ve used it on this layout.  I wanted to keep the “hint” of the pattern paper, but not have it overwhelm the layout, so the burlap is really nice to achieve that and also add some texture.  I also used some of the little strings that I pulled out of the frayed edges of the burlap to make a nice little embellishment border to ground the photo.  I also changed the color of the burlap in two ways, one by using a sponge tip and dipped it in ink to make border lines in the burlap around the photo and second by simply dripping on some red mist.

And at SKETCHES IN THYME I used this sketch for the next layout:

And finally...at FROSTED DESIGNS our challenge is WILD (use the word WILD)...
So here is a layout from Legoland
